Lovely pub with a few nice beers on tap. The food is good as well. Great stop during or after a walk around Thetford forest.
Had lunch there with my fiance and baby. Fire was going so it was cosy and homely. The blonde lady behind the bar was lovely and very relaxed. Food was absolutely lovely and worth the pennies. Will definitely be back.
A quick stay overnight for 1 person & room 6, which I slept in, was small but OK -nice and clean, good en suite shower room, bed was v. hard, everything else good. Cost £77. Brilliant cooked breakfast
Booked a table for 2 Saturday 6.30. First time here in the upstairs restaurant. Had a look round first . Lovely old building with lots of small bar areas and a really cool beer garden. Served by 2 attentive and very polite young ladies. Food was great , Steak & Ale pie was exceptional served with plenty of veg. As was the dressed crab and salad. Great service and super food. Will be going again soon.
Rooms a little tired, weirdly, no headboard on bed, but value for money, would have scored higher but we could hear the people in the room above and the outside door slamming, staff helpful and friendly, great breakfast and nice pub for an evening drink. food looked good but I didn't eat there, handly shop and chippy very close. Good base to see area especially close to grimes graves and forest walks.

Very accommodating staff who looked after us very well. Our evening meal was fabulous and the room was spotless. A good selection of beers too. One very minor downside was that the breakfast was basic, ie 1 sausage, no black pudding, plain bread and no mushrooms for the vegan breakfast, but they were on my full English. Still worth 5 stars for the overall experience. A wonderful place and staff.
